Conflict and Communication Workshop

OWASA Community Room in Carrboro
In this workshop, participants will explore the nature of conflict in various settings and recognize the value of good communication skills in applying different approaches to conflict.
Communication and Conflict Resolution Skills is a prerequisite for taking Intro to Mediation Skills.

Introduction to Mediation Skills 2-Day Workshop
Thursday and Friday, October 17 and 18, 9:30 to 4:30
OWASA Community Room in Carrboro
Mediation skills can be applied within a wide variety of situations: an employee dispute, a community controversy, or a quarrel between family members. The mediator acts as an impartial third party to facilitate communication between disputants and to support them in reaching their own decisions.
Presentations on the mediation process will be alternated with opportunities to practice through role plays.
