Frances Henderson, Executive Director.
Frances has led the Center since 1991. A licensed attorney,
(UNC School of Law - 1985), she has eighteen years experience
in nonprofit management, including a Fellowship with the Mary
Reynolds Babcock Foundation. In 2001, she was awarded a Z.
Smith Reynolds Foundation sabbatical for service. She serves
on the boards of the Association for Conflict Resolution -
North Carolina, and the Mediation Network of North Carolina,
of which she is a past president. She is a certified mediator
for Superior Court Mediated Settlement Conferences, Clerk
of Court-referred mediations, and Special Education disputes,
and is a member of the NC Academy of Superior Court Mediators.

Andrew M. Sachs, Public Disputes Coordinator.
Andy initiated this program at DSC in 1987. He assists government,
business, non-profit, and community organizations to resolve
conflict, discuss difficult topics and develop skills in consensus-building
by providing mediation, meeting facilitation, training, and
consulting. He has worked as a mediator, facilitator and conflict
resolution trainer since 1980, is a member of the Association
for Conflict Resolution (Environment and Public Policy Sector),
and a former member of the Mediation Network of North Carolina
board of directors. Andy has a Masters in City Planning from

Jenifer Yarnelle, Mediation Coordinator.
Jenifer joined the Center in 1993 and handles mediations referred
from criminal district court as well as matches volunteer mediators
with disputants for court, community, and workplace cases. She
also co-leads DSC's Family Table trainings for parents and teens,
as well as other community trainings. Jenifer has a BA from
Indiana University.

DiShon Cain, Restorative Justice for
Youth Program. DiShon, a UNC-Wilmington graduate with
a criminal justice background, joined the Center in 1999.
He works in the Youth Programs with juvenile court-referred
young people through the Victim-Offender Mediation Program
and DSC's Family Table trainings for juveniles and their parents.

Will Dudenhausen, Youth and Schools in
Community Program. Will joined the Center in 2004, with
5 years experience working with youth as a teacher, golf instructor,
soccer coach, and tutor. He conducts trainings and interventions
in schools, community centers and workplaces, and works with
DSC's Family Table trainings. Will has a BA from Illinois College

Julie Potts, Assistant to the Director.
A native of Yorkshire, in Britain, with a BA in Social Sciences
from the UK Julie is a former college lecturer with over 17
years experience in education. She joined the Center in March
of 2001 and handles a variety of administrative duties. She
is also a trained divorce and community mediator and facilitator.

Kerry Paksoy, Trainer, Youth and Schools
Program. Kerry is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and a trained
